FAQs Rhinoplasty

We encourage you to consult with Dr. Vinnakota Sriprakash for individualized answers to all of your questions about rhinoplasty and the possible outcome.

Am I a good candidate for rhinoplasty?

The best rhinoplasty patients are those who have realistic expectations of the result. You should be in good health, over the age of 16, non-smoker for two weeks before surgery. If you have breathing complaint along with complaints of nose appearance, you may need some special investigations to analyse the problem and so that we will be able to give you the permanent solutions to both problems.

Are “before and after” pictures helpful?

Before and after picture of other patients help you to understand the experience of your surgeon and the possible outcome you may get after your rhinoplasty surgery. However, every patient is different, so do not to base your decision on before and after photos but, you should focus more on what the rhinoplasty surgeon will do for you as an individual.

Are there scars after rhinoplasty?

Most people are apprehensive about scars after surgery. But in reality, rhinoplasty surgery has evolved over r centuries, now we are able to give results with no visible scar even in open rhinoplasty. The fine line scar visible in immediate post-operative period usually fades with time to become almost invisible.
